After launching our New Distributed Deception Platform at RSA Conference 2017, we at CounterCraft are participating in CyberUK 2017, the National Cyber Security Centre’s inaugural flagship event, which takes place at the Arena & Conference Centre in Liverpool, UK, on 14-16 March. CounterCraft is exhibiting within the GCHQ Accelerator Shared Stand, along with other 6 startups that are participating in the first edition of the three-month programme at the accelerator.
CounterCraft is presenting its Distributed Deception Platform, to show companies and institutions the benefits of using automated counterintelligence campaigns in cybersecurity, and thus manipulate and deceive advanced attackers. It offers a 95% cost reduction when compared to manual deception techniques, and zero false positives, due to its lightweight sensors, which are crafted to appeal to adversaries, but not legitimate users.
On Monday 13th, we will also participate in the networking dinner at St. George’s Hall, where we will be looking for potential partnerships interested in our innovative technology.
CounterCraft, contributing to cybersecurity in the UK through counterintelligence
Cybersecurity has become a priority for the UK government, which has committed £1.9 billion to a National Cyber Security Strategy over the next 5 years.
Two months ago, CounterCraft was selected to join the first GCHQ Cyber Security Accelerator’s programme in Cheltenham, UK, opened with the aim of fighting the growing threat of cyber-attacks against UK business. This incubator is the result of a partnership between GHCQ (Government Communications Headquarters), the Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), and Wayra UK the leading UK corporate accelerator and part of the Telefónica Open Future_ network.
A large gathering for the UK’s representatives from the information security community
CyberUK will combine two events in one: the Government’s IA and Cyber Security Flagship event (renamed CyberUK Strategy), and CyberUK in Practice. The former has been the principal vehicle for engaging with IA and cybersecurity leaders, while the latter is the event for the professional community.
More than 70 exhibitors and 1,600 participants are expected to attend this three-day event, which will play a vital role in the coming year’s cybersecurity calendar, providing a forum for debate, discussion, and sharing ideas and experience.
